At the annual Zalando Supplier Day held in Berlin on 15 May 2018, AdHoc Translations was among the top three applicants chosen to present their change management project in a 5-minute elevator pitch. At the end of the day the winner was elected by an external jury, and Tobias Wiesner, Managing Director AdHoc Translations DACH, was very proud to receive the 2018 Procurement Supplier Award.

Why was AdHoc Translations chosen as the 2018 award recipient?
When the jury announced the winner of this year’s award, they justified their decision with the following:

In the elevator pitch, Tobias Wiesner from AdHoc Translations explained what the journey from a traditional translation agency to a modern language solutions provider has been like. It has required a new corporate culture, revamping of the organisation, investment in latest tools and technology and an international expansion.
The landscape of the translation industry and the needs of customers have changed. In the past, processes were handled manually with no technology integration and by using offline translation tools. Tobias Wiesner also explained how AdHoc Translations transitioned from offline to real-time, introducing cloud-based productivity tools including everything from email communication to a collaboration platform to bring all stakeholders together as well as shifting from standard office hours to 24/7 operations, thereby enabling global support with local service.
