Translation to and from Chinese
Speak the language of your target audience so that your message gets through.
Facts about Chinese
Many different languages are spoken in China, however, the most widespread language, which everyone is taught at school and which is used in newspapers and TV, is called Mandarin or Standard Chinese. Mandarin is also known as Putonghua and is the official language of China, Taiwan and among one of Singapore’s official languages. It is spoken by approximately 1,075,000,000 people.
China is working towards getting a common language instead of the many language groups, while at the same time allowing that minorities can develop their languages.
Modern Chinese comprises two standard sets of characters/written languages: Simplified Chinese and traditional Chinese. Simplified Chinese is the preferred written language in China, whereas traditional Chinese is preferred in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Malaysia.

Why translate to or from Chinese?
China is a fast growing economy and an important market to an increasing number of businesses.
Due to the large cultural and language differences, you would be wise to make an extra effort to ensure smooth communication, meaning that it is a good idea to get your texts translated.
When you submit your texts for translation, you must remember to specify whether you want the translation to be into simplified or traditional Chinese. It depends on where the document is to be used. If it is to be used in Taiwan, Hong Kong or Malaysia, you should choose traditional Chinese, if it is to be used in China, you should choose simplified Chinese.
Why choose a professional translator?
A professional Chinese translator has a relevant language education and the required skills so that you can rest assured that your text is in good hands. It only takes an extra line or dot to change the meaning of a word, so it is a good idea to have a professional take care of your translation to avoid any misunderstandings or uncertainty.
