Ordrestyring.dk Organised Its Website Translations with a Simple Setup

About Ordrestyring.dk
Ordrestyring.dk is a task management system designed for tradespeople. It reduces administrative work by digitising quotes, tasks, and documentation. Since launching in 2011, it has grown rapidly and now supports more than 14,000 daily users across a wide range of trades, including electricians, carpenters, plumbers, painters, locksmiths, landscape gardeners, and large contractors.
In 2018, the company was acquired by the Swedish investment fund Adelis Equity Partners. With new ownership came stronger international ambitions, which increased the need for a structured approach to translation.
The brief
Ordrestyring.dk needed to retranslate its entire website from Danish into English. Over time, the site had expanded, new sections had been added, and content had changed frequently. The team no longer had a clear view of what had already been translated or whether older translations were still correct.
They faced three issues:
- inconsistent quality across the existing translations
- no reliable overview of what needed to be updated
- a manual copy and paste workflow that would no longer scale
The website had reached a size where manual handling was too time consuming. They needed a solution that kept everything in order, supported frequent updates, and did not require technical expertise from the internal team.
Our approach
We worked with Charlotte from Ordrestyring.dk to identify a setup that fitted their needs and stayed affordable.
Project setup
We introduced WPML, a WordPress plugin that allows teams to manage multilingual sites without manual copying. We handled the installation, configuration, and all technical aspects.
This gave Ordrestyring.dk:
- a central place to manage all translatable content
- an easy export and import process for translation files
- a clear structure across the site’s many subpages
- a predictable workflow for future updates
WPML also ensured that translations stayed tied to their source pages, which removed the risk of mismatched versions.
Translation workflow
Charlotte can now:
- export all text that needs translation directly from the plugin
- receive the translated files from us
- publish the translated pages on the website with a single click
No copying, no tracking spreadsheets, no manual checks across dozens of subpages.
Efficiency and quality gains
This new setup brought immediate improvements:
- faster turnaround for updates
- a clear overview of all translatable content
- consistent quality across the website
- far less manual work for the internal team
The workflow transformed something that once seemed unmanageable into a simple and reliable process.
The outcome
Charlotte shared her experience:
“It has been a pleasure working with AdHoc Translations. Right from the start, they have been accommodating and quick to deliver quality work. I give them my highest recommendation.”
We appreciate the kind words, Charlotte.
