About TRUSTZONE
TRUSTZONE has supplied digital certificates to companies across Europe since 2004. The Danish company is now one of the region’s largest certification agencies and has issued more than 100,000 certificates to customers in Denmark and abroad.

Their range includes SSL certificates, Personal Sign, Document Signing, and Code Signing. These services help organisations secure online communication, authenticate users, and protect data across digital platforms.

The brief

TRUSTZONE was preparing to launch a new website and needed all content translated from Danish into English. The deadline was tight and the content covered several technical areas, including encryption standards, authentication methods, certificate lifecycles, and security protocols.

The company wanted a partner who could:

  • deliver fast without reducing quality
  • handle content with a technical foundation
  • understand the terminology behind digital certificates
  • ensure that the English version felt clear and natural to international customers

The website played an important role in TRUSTZONE’s sales and support processes, so accuracy and readability were equally important.

We searched our translator network to find someone with experience in cybersecurity and certificate services. Once we identified a suitable translator, we arranged a meeting so TRUSTZONE could confirm the fit before work began.

Our approach

During the briefing stage, it became clear that some of the content needed more than direct translation. TRUSTZONE wanted the English version to be clearer, slightly more polished, and easier for customers to navigate.

Project setup

To meet these goals, we proposed a two-step workflow:

  1. Technical translation by a specialist familiar with the field
  2. Creative editing by a copywriter to lift tone, clarity, and flow

This setup protected the technical accuracy while improving the overall reading experience.

The copywriter did not work with the original Danish text. This gave them the freedom to shape the English version in a way that supported TRUSTZONE’s messaging, without getting tied to the structure of the source text.

Translation workflow

The translator produced a precise English version that captured the meaning of each section. This included aligning technical terms with international usage and ensuring that definitions, benefits, and feature descriptions stayed consistent across the site.

Once the translation was complete, the copywriter reviewed the full set of pages. Their role was to:

  • tighten the structure
  • remove repetition
  • refine explanations of key concepts
  • strengthen the tone without exaggeration
  • ensure that headings and subheadings were clear and helpful

The project manager coordinated handovers and quality checks, including terminology alignment and consistency across all service descriptions.

Quality and efficiency gains

The combined workflow gave TRUSTZONE several advantages:

  • a polished English version suitable for an international audience
  • consistent terminology across all pages
  • a clearer explanation of technical topics for non-specialists
  • faster internal review, as the copywriter had already refined the structure
  • a setup that can be reused for future updates or new customer-facing content

The result was a site that conveyed precision and trust without feeling dense or overly technical.

The outcome

TRUSTZONE published the English version of the website with only a few minor adjustments. The company found the two-step approach so effective that they plan to use it for future content aimed at customers.

Torben Slot Dabelsteen shared his thoughts on the collaboration:

“AdHoc Translations has a high service level and has done everything to accommodate our needs and requests for translations. We have been pleased with the work they have delivered and will continue to use this agency for this type of job.”
